modo keeps messing up my imported Rhino meshes

I was up all night trying to figure this out. But I'm too tired, so I'll just leave it for now.

July 3rd and no sign of Railworks (boxed DVD)

I was hoping to buy Railworks (boxed DVD) at Fry's Electronics today. They didn't have it. Someone at Railsimulator.com forgot about California store buyers.

Getting a loco model from 3D Canvas into Rail Simulator

This may be an old item to some, but it does look interesting if one has Rail Simulator that they've been wanting to model their own engines for. Read the PDF on it.

On the lookout for a modo 401 guidebook

MAXON cuts Cinema 4D prices in half

It's the beginning of SIGGRAPH season again. That means new 3D software being released. It also means the economy recently paid a visit to MAXON to remind them of their rather high-priced software that's been collecting dust.

So to move some boxes, MAXON is offering 50% off for customers using other 3D apps. But beware the Protection Plan they want to offer you.

No plans in the works for Hexagon

DAZ3D announced that there is no plan still to fix or update Hexagon. Mac users who bought the modeling program are still not able to use it on Mac OS 10.5. Windows users have been waiting since 2006 for bugs to be fixed. Though, not show-stoppers, work-arounds have to be used to get past the bugs.

Go-Z will improve your ZBrush workflow with modo!

Pixologic shows off their new Go-Z feature for ZBrush 4, which will be released hopefully this fall.

The demo reminded me of how DAZ Studio and DAZ Hexagon were supposed to work together at one time. It's good to see real 3D app developers making this workflow actually work now. And better.
